Embark on an exciting journey as a Welder, where you fuse fabricated components to create robust structural forms. Safety takes center stage in this role, and any oversight could pose risks.
Welder Pay Range- $27‑$29/hr
- Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting, and shipping.
- Locate pieces approved by Quality Control for welding. Gather equipment necessary to complete the job.
- Clean welded pieces for the next phase of processing.
- Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to travel to various locations, potentially including other states, to support shutdowns.
- Work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Perform non-essential functions as needed.
- Minimum of 1‑2 years’ welding experience.
- Read and comprehend welding symbols and instructions.
- Read and understand structural drawings.
- Pass a tape measure test.
- Pass an unlimited thickness groove plate test in horizontal or vertical and overhead positions using FCAW and SMAW.
- Carbon arc gouge the back side of butt joints to sound metal.
- Lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
- Considerable amounts of overtime and weekend work may be required.
- Excessive amounts of bending and stooping to weld in difficult positions.
- Tolerate temperature fluctuations and a dusty/noisy work environment.
