Requirements for the Supply Teacher role:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (e.g., PGCE).
  • Previous experience as a classroom teacher or in a school support role.
  • Proficient classroom management skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Adaptability to work in diverse school settings.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or a willingness to obtain one.
Your responsibilities as a Supply Teacher:
  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons when the regular class teacher is absent, covering various subjects and age groups.
  • Adapting to different school environments and following provided lesson plans.
  • Establishing positive relationships with students, fellow staff members, and parents.
  • Completing essential administrative tasks, including providing lesson feedback and maintaining attendance records.
