Merging cutting‑edge technology with customer service and technical expertise, Varian’s Field Service Engineer (Hardware) will be the primary contact for our customers’ service and repair needs. The position is remote, covering East Anglia, and offers a generous salary and benefits package.

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on Varian hardware following established procedures.
• Diagnose complex customer issues and maintain lasting relationships through effective communication.
• Balance on‑site duties such as preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades with Varian’s Helpdesk functions, providing remote support when not scheduled onsite.
• Participate in Varian training for True Beam & Halcyon products to obtain VMS HW Level II and Imaging Level II certifications.
• Provide flexibility for overnight stays and weekend work when required.

• HS Degree or equivalent preferred; associate’s degree, technical/vocational training, or military experience in electronics is a plus.
• Strong knowledge in electronic and electro‑mechanical engineering, micro‑computer/PC based systems, high voltage (HV), and radio frequency (RF).
• Ability to diagnose and repair software and treatment delivery system problems; imaging system defect resolution is an advantage.
• Proficiency in electro/Mechanical test equipment.
