Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Chemical Engineering
Purpose of the Role:
- To be part of the Technical Services Regulatory Team within Rentokil Initial’s Marketing and Innovation (M&I) Function to support the team’s technical and commercial competence providing compliance for chemical products and services as required by regulations affecting M&I and Rentokil Initial’s business activities.
- Primary purpose is to support chemical regulatory compliance within RI businesses and to implement appropriate corrective actions within required time frames where non-compliance has been identified.
- To contribute towards ensuring that all chemical products are compliant with all relevant areas of legislation including product safety information, performing product classifications and draft label and packaging as required.
- To support obtaining and maintaining product registrations as required.
- Support the introduction of new products to markets.
- Ensure accurate information is maintained in the company regulatory systems and databases.
- A degree or equivalent in a scientific or similar discipline.
- Knowledge of the global regulatory frameworks for chemical products that affect chemical products, specifically with regard to registration, safe use, transportation and disposal. Experience with Regulatory database systems such as LISAM.
- Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous and detailed in their quality of work.
- Strong data analysis skills with a process driven, problem solving mind-set.
- Speaking a second language is a plus
- A team player with maturity, capable of standing up for personal convictions, functional strategy and company ethics.
- Good self awareness. Able to have a positive influence on the team.
- Good communication and relationship building skills at all levels. Capable of working effectively with customers and operational functions around the globe
- A creative problem solver, capable of solving technical and supply chain challenges in both local and European / global markets in a diplomatic but uncompromising manner.
- Able to use strong technical and problem solving skills to approach complex regulatory problems.
- Strong customer support / service ethic.
- Process oriented with a disciplined approach to meeting deadlines.
