Make

an Impact within our Fund Tax team at RSM UK

Our Funds Tax team is a fast‑growing and ambitious practice, offering significant opportunities for progression and development. We work with a broad range of investment funds, fund managers and related vehicles across private equity, venture capital and other alternative asset classes. The team supports clients on both complex tax reporting and advisory matters throughout the fund lifecycle.

We become the ‘house advisor’ looking after every aspect of the structure, whether that is partnership tax at the fund level, corporation tax within the group, or personal tax for the executives and carry holders. That wide tax technical remit means we work closely with colleagues across corporate tax, private client services, international tax, VAT, transfer pricing and transaction services, alongside close relationships with the audit and consulting practices to provide a fully integrated service to asset managers and their funds.

As

an Associate Director within the Funds Tax team, you will...

Lead the service delivery for a portfolio of investment manager structures, manage the relationship and commercial arrangements, and lead the service team. You will deepen client relationships, engage in broad conversations with clients, look for business development opportunities, and deliver exceptional advisory and reporting service experiences.

You’ll make an impact by:
  • Actively developing existing client relationships and demonstrating deep commercial understanding for those clients.
  • Leading advisory and technical projects, including fund formation, restructuring and planning around fund lifecycle events.
  • Collaborating with partners to develop new business and build on existing relationships.
  • Playing an active role in developing, coaching and mentoring junior members of the.
  • Building relationships with all other departments – corporate tax, private client services, international tax, VAT, transfer pricing, transaction services, audit and consulting – to identify and service all potential client needs.
  • Briefing junior staff on the client’s business and the pre‑assignment instructions; supervising and controlling the completion of work; and undertaking ‘on the job’ training where necessary.
What we are looking for:

We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are looking for an ambitious, career‑driven individual who is ready to take on new challenges and develop their expertise in a growing specialist area. If you thrive on variety, love learning new things, and enjoy connecting with people, can spot inefficiencies in everyday life, and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you.

Here’s

what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
  • CTA and/or ACA qualified, or suitably qualified-by‑experience.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of tax issues relating to a range of fund clients.
  • Proven experience in client handling and project management.
  • Ability to lead advisory projects resulting in high‑quality reports within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of fund tax reporting and advisory projects, and confidence in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships.
  • An interest in mentoring and developing junior members of staff.
What we can offer you:
  • 27 days holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days).
  • Hybrid working.
  • Lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits, including financial wellbeing tools, an electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP.
  • Individual healthcare cover.
  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our in‑house Talent Development team.
  • Clear progression pathways within a growing specialist team.
  • Opportunities to work with leading mid‑market fund managers and investment funds.
