Put your analytical skills at the heart of a £2 billion operation

Are you confident working with numbers, complex data and detailed financial processes? Join UK Power Networks as a Billing Analyst and help manage the day-to-day activities that generate the majority of our annual income. Reporting to the Billing and Agreements Manager within Finance, you will become a trusted point of contact for accurate billing and query resolution.

Make an impact in a changing energy market

You will combine financial accuracy, data analysis and stakeholder service in a varied role supporting electricity suppliers and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs). As the industry moves through the Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement transition, you will also help maintain billing accuracy across two systems.

Prepare and issue accurate invoices, with complete supporting information.
Allocate bank payments and resolve cross-company allocations.
Monitor outstanding balances and manage non-payment penalties.
Maintain standing data and investigate anomalies across large datasets.
Resolve billing queries and disputes across two billing platforms.
Build effective relationships with 220 electricity suppliers and IDNOs.
Support system testing and work with vendors on fixes and enhancements.
Provide clear information and insight to senior management, Pricing and Contract Management teams.

Bring your precision and judgement

You will have strong numeracy, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work accurately with large datasets. You will communicate clearly with external partners and internal leaders, manage competing priorities and apply the same care to billing, data validation and system testing.

Essential:
Five GCSEs at grades A-C/9-4, or equivalent, including English and Mathematics. Experience in a commercial or financial environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
