Alexander Lloyd is delighted to be exclusively partnering with an engineering company, on the recruitment of an HR Business Partner.
This is a high-impact, senior role operating at leadership level, partnering closely with the senior leadership team to shape and deliver a progressive people agenda. The position plays a pivotal role in enabling business performance through effective workforce planning, talent development, employee relations and cultural leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic people advisor to the senior leadership team, aligning HR priorities with business objectives and long-term workforce needs.
- Lead workforce planning, succession, and capability development initiatives to ensure future organisational resilience.
- Drive employee engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing activity, embedding a positive and performance-led culture across the business.
- Oversee recruitment and resourcing activity, ensuring attraction and onboarding approaches are consistent, inclusive, and aligned to employer brand values.
- Provide expert, commercially balanced advice on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance, consistency, and risk management.
- Support leaders through organisational change programmes, including restructures, acquisitions, and TUPE-related activity.
- Build leadership and management capability through coaching, development interventions, and pragmatic HR guidance.
- Utilise people data and insight to inform decision-making, track key metrics, and provide meaningful reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Background in engineering, construction or similar regulated sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate people strategy into tangible business outcomes.
- Extensive experience managing complex employee relations and change programmes.
- Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while building trusted, credible relationships.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice HR frameworks.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional HR accreditation is desirable.
