Patent Engineer

• Partner with engineering and product development teams to identify, capture and assess innovations with patent potential.
• Support invention disclosure reviews, prior‑art searches and patentability assessments in collaboration with Patent Attorneys.
• Maintain and support the development of Elekta's patent portfolio, ensuring accurate records and effective portfolio management.
• Monitor competitor activity, technology trends and intellectual‑property landscapes to provide valuable business insights.
• Promote IP awareness through training, guidance materials and engagement with technical teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of IP processes, innovation management tools, reporting and cross‑functional collaboration.

• University education in science or engineering (or equivalent) with the ability to understand technical concepts in electronics, physics or software.
• Recent graduate or up to 2years of experience.
• Interest in patents, IP, innovation management or technology commercialisation.
• Familiarity with scientific literature reviews, patent databases or technical searching.

• Work from the Crawley HQ 4 days a week with 1 day work‑from‑home.
