Contract LabVIEW Software Engineer
Rate: Up to £55 per hour - Outside IR35
Contract length: 3 months initially
Location: Gatwick - Hybrid

We're recruiting on behalf of a client for a Contract LabVIEW Software Engineer to review, improve and product ionise an existing final test application for a thermal management controller product. The test rack is already built. This is a software first engagement focused on getting the LabVIEW application, sequence reliability and logging into a robust, manufacturing-ready state.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing an existing LabVIEW final test application for structure, maintainability and production usability
• Improving test sequence flow, operator prompts, error handling and fault isolation messaging
• Reviewing/improving comms handling - boot loader/application checks, controller communications, status verification
• Improving logging for serial number, software version, config data, results and failure reasons (full traceability)
• Creating/updating the LabVIEW executable deployment package and documenting the release baseline
• Supporting hardware and fixture debug alongside the software work where needed, and supporting pilot production runs
