Elekta is recruiting for the role of Senior Software Engineer – Control Systems. Join a team developing software for radiotherapy treatment systems used in cancer care. • Design, develop and maintain software applications used within radiotherapy treatment systems.
• Deliver full stack development using C#, .NET, WPF and C++, across user interfaces, backend services and system integrations.
• Improve software quality through automated testing, code reviews and continuous integration practices.
• Support the migration of applications to containerised and microservices-based environments.
• Contribute to Agile planning, sprint activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support safety-critical software development activities and help meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Share knowledge, support colleagues and contribute to a positive engineering culture.

• Have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Understand software engineering principles, object-oriented design and the software development lifecycle.
• Have experience with unit testing, automation and CI/CD practices.
• Work collaboratively within Agile development teams.
• Bring strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to delivering high‑quality software.
• Communicate well and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
