Flexible SEN Teaching Assistant - Exeter (Day-to-day Supply)

  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Various schools across Exeter.
Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group learning support tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Assist classroom teachers with managing group dynamics and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and routine transitions throughout the school day.
  • Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence in pupils across various age groups.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and requirements.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting children or young adults with special educational needs (in school, care, or youth work settings).
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to pupil engagement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
