We are seeking a flexible Science Specialist to join a thriving secondary school community in Okehampton for day-to-day subject and general supply cover. Focus on what you love most-teaching-without the administrative weight of a permanent classroom role.
What the Role OffersZero Planning & Preparation: Walk in at 08:30, deliver provided cover work, and leave at 15:30 with your evening completely free.

Varied Workday: Deliver engaging Science cover in your specialist area alongside general supply coverage across secondary subjects.

Support student progress and manage classroom dynamics during teacher absences.
Leave detailed handover notes for returning class teachers.
QTS: Qualified Teacher Status.
Subject Focus: Strong background in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
Skills: Adaptable classroom approach with strong behaviour management.
DBS: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 (Monday to Friday)
