Role SummaryThe Operational Lead Therapy post are an integral part of the leadership team across teams within the community care group. This role supports the community rehabilitation teams through information management and curiosity. The post holder will be driving performance and quality improvement in order to deliver a high standard of care whilst also focusing on Quality Improvement through change. This role is perfect for those leaders that want to maintain clinical and professional skills but are interested in system working and quality.

Our innovative Community Rehabilitation team are looking for an Operational Manager, upon a fixed-term contract to provide clinical leadership, alongside holistic assessments and treatments to the population of Mid Devon and North Dartmoor. The role will cover community based patients across the cluster in addition to the nursing and residential home patients within the area. The role will incorporate working alongside Occupational therapists, Rehabilitation Support Worker and Administration staff to improve quality of life of the patients and service users.
Our team is spread across the two bases of Crediton and Okehampton Community Hospitals
The Community Rehabilitation Team model aspires to provide a responsive, safe effective caring service that is well led. The team is commissioned to reflect the needs of the local community. The service aims include providing a local point of access, proactive case management and adoption of a co-produced approach with patients and service users. The Community Rehabilitation Team delivers a joined-up approach across the CMO cluster, to deliver excellence in care and engages with all practices and wider stakeholders in the locality.
- Provide effective day-to-day operational management of their specified service(s).
- Develop and contribute to cross site service plans and projects and change initiatives as required to ensure the service is delivered effectively.
- Manage the business activities of defined service(s) / speciality in accordance with Trust policies and within allocated resources.
- To continuously develop the most effective, efficient and cost-effective structure for the future delivery of those services with the involvement of clinicians, professionals and commissioners.
- To meet performance targets for quality, volume and cost.
- To take a proactive role in continuous improvement of equitable cross site services.
- To be a delegated budget holder and authorised signatory for specialties pay and non-pay budgets, including accountability for revenue budgets and procurement of capital equipment (with Trust delegated limits).
- To be responsible for a specified portfolio (pro-active or intermediate care)
- Undertake triage activity which may include travel to co-locate with colleague
- To participate in the 7-day Band rota, covering out of core hours inclusive of weekends and bank holidays
Working Pattern: 37.5hrs across a 7-day rota.
