Job DescriptionJR PAT Testing is an expanding PAT and Compliance Company currently looking for engineers to join our team in Crediton. We offer self‑employed positions with flexible hours, allowing interested individuals to work either part‑time or full‑time.
Applicants must have a reasonable commuting distance to Crediton or be able to travel as necessary. The role offers potential earnings on a pro‑rata basis depending on the rate per appliance, the number of tests, and job dynamics. Jobs range from one‑day projects to long‑term contracts.
Required qualifications and attributes:
- City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
- Self‑employed status with own insurance and equipment calibrated annually.
- Reliable, honest and maintain a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
- Ability to travel to a variety of client sites.
We provide labels, technical support, a branded work shirt and an engineer handbook.
A typical day of a portable appliance testing (PAT) engineerDaily tasks include traveling to client sites, performing PAT on a wide range of appliances, logging results to a dedicated test report, producing completion certificates and checklists, and communicating findings to site managers.
The role requires strong organization, accuracy, and communication skills. Physical fitness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
