Clinical Educator FULL-TIME Opportunity

Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000 Depending on experience.

We are hiring a Clinical Educator to provide oversight of internal Continuing Education Programs taught by the company, ensuring compliance with required regulations issued by governing agencies of the American Heart Association and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians to include the qualifications required for this position.

The Service Line Clinical Educator – Critical Care is accountable for the provision of quality, outcome-based educational programs and practice support which promote initial and ongoing competency and continuous development of critical care caregivers. This position provides support to internal/external customers under the direct supervision of the Regional Director, and in conjunction with Clinical Practices. The Service Line Clinical Educator helps design, teach, and evaluate critical care training programs, acts as an internal training and organizational development consultant, and provides career development resources and plans.

• Act as a clinical resource to all caregivers. Maintain a knowledge base of current standards of care and standards of practice and ensure compliance to those standards.
• Develop, organize, implement and evaluate Service Line education and programs to ensure competencies of critical care caregiver personnel.
• Identify and validate caregiver learning needs using multiple approaches; conduct learning needs assessments regularly; tailor teaching methodologies to learners and outcomes.
• Participate in departmental short-term planning related to education and practice support.
• Collaborate with operations and service line leadership to maintain team integrity and provide clinical support.
• Assist with outreach education with local leadership and customers.
• Develop area-specific orientation of local protocols and procedures for new employees.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager and/or Program Director to address local or certificate-specific clinical and service delivery issues promptly.
• Support ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical quality management program to ensure patient care aligns with company and customer expectations.
• Ensure continuous clinical quality improvement/assurance at the operation level.
• Audit and manage crews’ certifications, education completion, and employee health requirements.
• Serve as a resource for matters pertaining to Controlled Substances in collaboration with the National Director of Controlled Substance.
• Collaborate with the National Director of Patient Safety to ensure safety and compliance via Baldwin Clinical Reports.
• Integrate data and outcomes from Quality/Safety initiatives into education and practice support.
• Collaborate with GMR Learning and regional clinical practices leadership to ensure compliance with accrediting, regulating, and credentialing agencies.
• Serve as a resource for outreach education offerings.
• Coordinate and provide instruction for new employee onboarding as directed.
• In collaboration with GMR Learning, design, implement and evaluate patient simulations via the GMR Simulation program as part of the learning experience.
• Identify staff for training officer and preceptor development; work with GMR Learning to develop remedial training with clinical practices.
• Maintain requirements for, and fulfill all essential functions of an air and/or ground critical care caregiver as assigned.
• Act as a role model in area of expertise and professional practice; stay self-directed, maintain expertise and promote the profession.

• Education:
  
  Current RN Licensure or EMT-P Certification; BS or BA preferred;
  Specialty certification as required by CAMTS (CCRN, CFRN, CEN, FP-C or CCP-C).

• Two years flight experience required.
• Minimum of five years ED or ICU nursing experience or ALS Paramedic experience.
• Knowledgeable in prehospital EMS/air medical transport.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Experience using simulated patient encounters designed to enable experiential learning.
