Full-time and part-time positions. Flexible schedule with weekend availability. Pay rate starts at $16+/hr (DOE). Prefer Skilled Nursing Facility experience.
Responsibilities- Follows department procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
- Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated.
- Oversees proper food handling and utilization to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost.
- Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies.
- Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen and food storage areas.
- Maintains proper temperature of food during preparation and service, records food temperatures according to established policy.
- Assists with setup of the tray line; assembles trays according to planned menu, tray tickets, portion, resident food preferences, and diet order within established time schedules.
- Assists in checking trays during service for accuracy.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 months related experience or training.
- Knowledge of special diets required.
