Pay Range: $55.00 - $57.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to provide behavioral health services in a secure clinical setting in Crescent City, CA. This full-time contract role offers competitive hourly pay, weekly payroll, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent state position with full benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-call crisis services and emergency mental health consultations during workdays
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including assessments of criminal and substance abuse history
- Assess and document suicide risk using sound clinical judgment
- Deliver psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and clinical interviews in various care environments
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to diagnose and manage psychiatric disorders
- Prepare clinical reports, develop and revise treatment plans, and provide expert consultation on complex cases
- Maintain detailed and ethical clinical documentation; monitor treatment progress
- Communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate quality care
Required Qualifications
- Experience:At least 12 continuous months of LPCC experience within the last 3 years in direct patient care
- Education:Masters Degree in Counseling or a related behavioral health field
- Licensure:Active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (hard copy required)
- Certification:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Identification:Valid Photo , Drivers License, or Passport
