As a Pharmacy Manager you will lead and develop a team that promotes best practices, drives change, and addresses performance opportunities. You will ensure safe dispensing, compassionate counseling, compliance with regulations, and support program awareness and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities- Living our purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
- Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts, coaching to strengthen pharmacy performance measures.
- Supporting accurate prescription fulfillment following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
- Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and collaborative care.
- Offering and delivering immunizations, and supporting technicians’ training in immunization.
- Managing inventory, protecting cold chain products, and coaching on best practices.
- Conducting onboarding for technicians and pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of training and licensure.
- Ensuring pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalating concerns to Rx DL.
- Partnering with the Store Manager on a talent pipeline of cross‑trained colleagues and ensuring training for licensure.
- Overseeing Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists, managing performance, delivering reviews, and closing gaps.
- Remaining flexible for scheduling, writing or delegating the pharmacy schedule.
- Reviewing business reports for insights and developing action plans to close gaps.
- Building a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion; opening the door for feedback and taking action.
- Maintaining clinical and technical skills, seeking training and CME opportunities.
- Supporting access to care through pharmacist‑delivered clinical services such as testing and prescribing where permitted.
- Complying with federal and state laws, professional standards, and CVS Health policies, including controlled substance dispensing and record‑keeping.
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Pharmacist.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within designated time frames.
