Maintenance Technician - II 1st Shift Crescent City, CA

Join Sartori Company for the Maintenance Technician II role at our Crescent City creamery. This first shift position works Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. The role focuses on equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and system monitoring across the creamery.

• Perform all core maintenance tasks for Mechanical Systems, Pumps, Process and Sanitary Piping, Electrical, and Electronic components.
• Complete and communicate work orders and required documentation to plant and maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, electronic components, and control systems, including PLC systems, AC & DC motor control systems, and instrumentation.
• Operate refrigeration equipment (startup, shutdown, and maintenance).
• Fabricate repair parts or components using machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Perform welding repairs on production equipment and structural components, including stainless steel and other food‑grade materials.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
• Utilize technical support resources such as equipment manuals, schematics, and troubleshooting guides to diagnose issues.
• Actively participate in the plant safety committee and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety protocols.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of experience in a maintenance field or food plant general operator, and currently enrolled in a maintenance or trade related technical school program.
• Knowledge of maintenance software including Wonder Ware, Ladder Logic, and Allen Bradley software.
• Driver’s license required; maintain a clean driving record.
• Refrigeration license may be required after 2 years.
• Certified to operate forklifts (training and certification on the job).

Occasional travel (estimate 10%) may be required. Off‑shift work may be required as needs arise. The position requires regular standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting objects between 25 and 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Competitive wage range $31.00 /hour – $38.75 /hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
