American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a CA license for a night shift travel position requiring critical care expertise.

• ICU setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend requirement
• On call/call off based on census
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory therapies (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ETT/NT suctioning)
• Experience with titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and paralytics
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management
• Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and hemodialysis preferred
• Experience with IV insulin protocols
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

• Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• First-time travelers may be considered if minimum requirements are met
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees/travelers must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Only one holiday request approved per contract, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• All compliance documents due 10 days prior to start date
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
