Coordinate with the Nutrients Compliance manager to ensure accurate data collection and maintenance, timely management plan filing, and accurate information provision to custom applicators for manure nutrient application. Ensure Iowa Select Farms' compliance with regulations regarding manure use, storage, and application.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities- Coordinate soil, manure, and resource sampling and delivery for analysis.
- Professionally represent Iowa Select Farms as a liaison with landowners, tenants, custom applicators, and laboratories regarding crop and nutrient management.
- Review application events, maintain records, and send field reports to tenants or landowners.
- Maintain digital Manure Management Plans and develop rate and application information for field staff, custom applicators, landowners, and tenants.
- Become familiar with Iowa P-index and RUSLE2 calculations and distribute informative maps to Custom Applicators.
- Maintain DNR and field application files according to regulatory requirements and stay updated on Iowa State Extension, crop science, and nutrient uptake recommendations.
- Utilize GIS technology to manage field boundaries and maintain accurate application records and soil samples information.
- Collaborate with field personnel on pivot management and application events.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Adhere to Iowa Select Farms' bio-security policy and report any violations or concerns to the management team.

The position is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, with some tasks being performed outside and exposure to loud noise, fumes, or airborne particles.
Physicality RequirementsThe employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl, and lift or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position requiring at least 40 hours per week, with flexibility in hours during application season and occasional weekend work.
TRAVELTravel is expected to various Iowa Select Farms facilities, which may be local and out-of-area, with little to no overnight travel.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE And OTHER QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree required in agriculture, GIS, Biology, Agronomy, Management, Precision Agriculture, or related field, or significant experience and understanding of manure application and overall agriculture management practices.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
