As a member of the SOFGLSS Lockheed Martin Team supporting the warfighter the Aircraft Mechanic II performs installation, adjustment, alignment and troubleshooting for final operational and functional testing on major aircraft weapon systems, assemblies and components for the C-130 aircraft.
What You Will Be Doing- Performance of overhaul and repair of weapon systems, their assemblies and components, such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic and flight control systems.
- Troubleshooting aircraft systems, components, or subassemblies to determine proper operation.
- Identification of malfunctions and corrective action required (whether portions must be repaired or replaced).
- Disassembly, repair and reassembly of major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components.
- Connect related systems to the newly installed or repaired units, and make adjustments to the units and their related mechanisms to assure proper operation.
- Install, align and functionally and operationally test the various major and minor mechanical and pneumatic systems on the aircraft during overhaul or modification.
- Engine removal and installation, jacking and leveling, alignment and retraction checks, and other related routine tasks.
This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services. Learn more here: SOF GLSS

Basic Qualifications- Minimum of 6 years C-130 experience.
- Proficient in documentation of AFTO 781 forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).
- Prior AFSOC MC-130J and AC-130J experience.
- Prior fuels systems maintenance experience.
- Prior Isochronal / letter check or depot experience.
This position requires a government security clearance and must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance Level: Secret.
