Medical Assistant

Overview

Gastro Health is seeking a Full‑Time Medical Assistant to join our team. You will work in a collaborative environment with consistent hours and a strong focus on patient care.

• Greet and room patients to ensure appropriate patient flow.
• Update patient chart with accurate and timely documentation.
• Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under provider direction.
• Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with physician’s orders.
• Provide patient education and personal care to address physiological and psychological needs.
• Process prescription refills following clinic protocol.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with clinic staff, managers and providers.
• Initiate actions that support cross‑functional duties for seamless patient care.
• Follow safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and state health department guidelines.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant (AAMA certification preferred).
• Medical terminology knowledge required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience with eClinical
  
  Works (eCW) 1 year preferred.
