Overview

Description: As a member of the SOFGLSS Lockheed Martin Team supporting the warfighter, the Aircraft Mechanic II performs installation, adjustment, alignment and troubleshooting for final operational and functional testing on major aircraft weapon systems, assemblies and components for the C-130 aircraft.

• Performance of overhaul and repair of weapon systems, their assemblies and components, such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic and flight control systems.
• Troubleshooting aircraft systems, components, or subassemblies to determine proper operation.
• Identification of malfunctions and corrective action required (whether portions must be repaired or replaced).
• Disassembly, repairs and reassembly of major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components.
• Connects related systems to the newly installed or repaired units, and makes adjustments to the units and their related mechanisms to assure proper operation.
• Installs, aligns and functionally and operationally tests the various major and minor mechanical and pneumatic systems on the aircraft during overhaul or modification.
• Engine removal and installation, jacking and leveling, alignment and retraction checks, and other related routine tasks.

This position is in Crestview, FL. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.

• Minimum of 6 years C-130 experience.
• Proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781 forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).

• Prior AFSOC MC-130J and AC-130J experience.
• Prior fuels systems maintenance experience.
• Prior Isochronal / letter check or depot experience.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

• Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
  The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
• Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
