Job Overview

Tabitha in Crete – Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing Campus in Crete, NE is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions
  • Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures and records orders when appropriate.
  • Prepares, administers and/or supervises medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies.
  • Assesses assigned seniors/clients for physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes to supervisor and providing follow‑up with family and physician as directed, and takes accurate vital signs.
  • Proactively monitors skin for pressure ulcers and takes steps to prevent them.
  • Completes procedures and documents the information on the Senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner following Tabitha’s policies and procedures.
  • Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who are delivering medications to seniors/clients and follows through on the comprehensive care plan.
  • Provides supervision and education to seniors/clients for self‑administration of medications and assists in teaching skills that enable transition home.
  • Assists in developing, implementing and updating a comprehensive nursing plan of care based on changes in the Senior/client’s physical and/or emotional state.
Ideal Candidate
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology.
  • Physical stamina to safely perform job duties, including lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds with unrestricted ability.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of experience as an RN or LPN preferred.
  • RN or LPN license in good standing required; CPR and vaccination requirements must be met and maintained.
