Hourly Rate: $37.49

Crete Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for Substitute PRN positions. The role of a Substitute PRN Nurse is to ensure that students receive quality care in the absence of the regular school nurse.

• Completion of Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse course of study
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Eighteen years of age or older
• Satisfactory completion of criminal background check

• Cooperates with school personnel in identifying and meeting social, emotional, and physical needs of school children.
• Counsels students in good health habits.
• Assists for care of disabled children.
• Provides first aid and triage when accidents or illness happen er to the appropriate health professionals if needed.
• Dispenses medications according to the student’s prescription. Stores medications safely and securely.
• Monitors health and safety of students and staff.

Perform the work as required for the position's job tasks in the absence of the staff member.

Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Principal.

• Regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job.
