Passenger Assistant

The Passenger Assistant position based at Crewe Train Station involves supporting customers who have pre‑booked passenger assistance, helping them navigate the station safely and comfortably. The role operates Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm, for 37.5 hours per week on a temporary assignment and is paid up to £13.50 per hour.

• Meet and greet passengers who have pre‑booked assistance services.
• Escort and guide passengers around the station and to the correct platforms.
• Provide reassurance, support and information to customers throughout their journey.
• Assist members of the public with enquiries and directions.
• Act as a key point of contact for anyone requiring assistance within the station.
• Use radios to communicate with colleagues and operational teams.
• Update and upload information onto internal systems.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Manage multiple tasks in a busy and fast‑paced environment.
• Go the extra mile to provide a positive customer experience.

• Previous customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional and approachable manner.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise tasks.
• Confidence using computer systems and handheld radios.
• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Flexibility and reliability.
• Comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the working day.

Immediate start is available. Full training will be provided. A DBS check will be carried out by Manpower. This is a temporary position and an excellent opportunity for candidates from customer service, hospitality, retail, transport, airport or public‑facing environments.
