About the Role:
Simply Education is currently recruiting confident and motivated Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the Crewe area. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience, support student's learning, and make a positive impact in local schools.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be responsible for delivering set work in the absence of teachers, maintaining a well-managed learning environment, and encouraging student engagement and behaviour that aligns with school expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes during teacher absences using pre-planned materials
* Ensure students remain on task and complete the work set
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Provide brief feedback to teaching staff on student progress and any issues
* Uphold school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
* Support pupils with queries related to the lesson content when appropriate
Key Skills & Qualities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Calm, resilient, and confident in leading a classroom
* Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
* A flexible and proactive approach to day-to-day school life
* Strong organisational skills and reliability
Essential Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Availability for regular or flexible work
* Experience working with young people in any capacity (schools, sports coaching, youth work, etc.)Desirable:
Previous school-based experience
* A degree or Level 3 qualification
* Aspiring teachers or education graduates
