Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Supply Teacher to inspire and educate students across a variety of subjects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, creativity, and a genuine interest in supporting young learners’ academic and personal development. Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs or disabilities such as autism, is highly desirable. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons across designated subjects, tailoring teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
  • Develop and implement customised lesson plans that promote active learning and critical thinking
  • Support students with special educational needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive participation
  • Provide tutoring and mentoring to help students improve academically and develop essential life skills
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to optimise student outcomes
  • Incorporate creative writing and other innovative activities to enhance literacy and expressive skills
  • Organise extracurricular activities that promote holistic development
Experience
  • Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is essential
  • Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly advantageous
  • Proven ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to achieve academic goals
  • Creative writing experience is beneficial for developing innovative classroom activities and assignments
