Core Subjects Teacher (Maths Teacher) - Crewe

Salary: £190 - £220 per day (depending on experience and payroll choice)
Job Type: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent placement)

We are recruiting a committed Core Subjects Teacher to work in a Progress School based in Crewe. This is a specialist provision supporting students who may have faced barriers to learning in SEND settings, often due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. This is more than a teaching role - it's an opportunity to transform futures.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge at KS3 (and ideally KS4)
  • Resilient, calm, and patient under pressure
  • Able to deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Experienced (or willing to work) with SEMH, ASC, or alternative provision environments
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
  • Passionate about providing a nurturing, consistent, and structured environment for young people
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs and abilities
  • Build positive relationships with students to re-engage them with education
  • Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively using positive reinforcement strategies
  • Monitor and record student progress, helping them to achieve personal and academic goals
  • Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure holistic support
