KS2 SEN Teacher - Specialist SEMH/SEND Provision

Location:

Crewe
Salary: £27,519 - £43,862 per year, dependent on experience

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent, Term-time (39 weeks + 6 weeks holiday)

Simply Education is recruiting for a KS2 SEN Teacher to join a therapeutic SEMH/SEND provision in the Crewe area. The setting supports pupils aged 7-16 and delivers trauma-informed, personalised interventions, including Lego Therapy, Drawing & Talking, and Speech & Language therapy, to help pupils develop self-regulation, confidence, and effective communication skills.

The Role:

You will plan and deliver high-quality teaching to Key Stage 2 pupils, working with small groups and individual students to meet their SEMH/SEND needs. You will help pupils build confidence, independence, and a love of learning, while supporting behaviour management and maintaining strong communication with parents and carers.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and teach lessons for KS2 pupils, supporting both small groups and individual learners
Prepare teaching materials, take registers, and write reports on pupil progress
Support pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement with learning
Manage behaviour, mark work, and communicate effectively with parents and carers
Support the delivery of therapeutic and personalised interventions to meet SEMH/SEND needs

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Committed and passionate about working with students with SEND
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a SEND environment or similar provision
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is advantageous
Emotionally resilient, adaptable, and able to build trusting relationships with pupils
Committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
