Teaching Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our caring and supportive school.

Mon to Tues 1.00–3.25 and Wed–Fri 1.00–3.15 (11.58 hours per week). This role can also be combined with our Lunchtime Supervisor and After School Club Supervisor vacancies to form a single 22.33‑hour term‑time position.

• Support a range of children with SEND across the school.
• Assist with teaching phonics and early reading.
• Implement the EYFS Framework and KS1 & KS2 curricula.
• Maintain strong interpersonal skills and positive behaviour management.
• Work independently and as part of a team to create innovative and resourceful learning experiences.

• Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and KS1 & KS2 curricula.
• Experience of teaching phonics and early reading.
• Experience working in all key stages (advantageous but not essential).
• Dedication to supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, positive behaviour management, innovation and resourcefulness.
• Energy, enthusiasm, drive, sense of humour and fun.
