The Education Specialists is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant with an EYFS qualification which contributes to ratios to join a welcoming primary school in Crewe.
This is a long-term supply position for the academic year, supporting pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support children at an important stage of their early development. The class may include pupils with additional needs, so experience supporting children with SEND within an EYFS or primary setting is highly desirable.

- EYFS Framework supported qualification which contributes to ratios (essential)
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Experience supporting early learning, play-based development and phonics
- Experience supporting children with SEND in a mainstream setting (desirable)
- Working hours – Monday to Friday 11:30 – 17:30
- A patient, caring and proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support early development and learning
- Support pupils with phonics, communication and early literacy skills
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development
- Adapt support for pupils with SEND, including speech and language needs, ASD and developmental delays
- Lead the room (PM only) and escort children to after school club
