Cover Supervisor

The Education Specialists is seeking a flexible and confident Cover Supervisor to provide general classroom cover in a well-regarded secondary school in Crewe, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. This is a full-time, long-term position for the remainder of the academic year, providing classroom cover across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). The school has a strong behaviour policy in place and a supportive senior leadership team, making it an excellent environment for a Cover Supervisor looking for a consistent role in Crewe.

Cover Supervisor role requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons and provide effective classroom cover
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists
The successful Cover Supervisor will:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Adapt to different classroom environments and pupil needs
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
