Engineer, Civil Engineering
Reporting to the Design Team Leader, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of a portfolio of highway, civil engineering and traffic management schemes, from feasibility through to construction.
You will contribute to a varied programme of works including cycle improvements, junction upgrades, public realm schemes and local highway projects, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, and meets client expectations.

The Role- Undertaking feasibility studies and detailed design of highways and civil engineering schemes
- Analysing engineering challenges and developing practical, compliant solutions
- Managing projects through all stages including delivery on site
- Preparing designs, specifications and programmes
- Supporting delivery on time and within budget
- Liaising with stakeholders including councils and the public
- Producing reports and attending meetings
- Ensuring designs meet required standards and specifications
- Maintaining accurate project records
- Providing professional and technical advice
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (desirable)
- Membership of relevant professional body (desirable)
- Experience in highway design and legislation (essential)
- Knowledge of highway law and procedures (essential)
- Experience with Traffic Regulation Orders (essential)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
