As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role within the Design Services Team, delivering and overseeing the design and implementation of highway and civil engineering schemes across Cheshire East.
Working on a diverse portfolio of projects valued up to £5 million, including cycle improvements, junction upgrades and public realm schemes, you will ensure delivery of high quality, compliant and innovative engineering solutions.
In addition, you will also support team leadership, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the development of others within the team.
The Role- Leading the analysis of engineering problems and developing effective, compliant solutions
- Delivering high standards of professional and technical excellence in highway engineering
- Managing the design, planning, programming and delivery of schemes
- Monitoring project performance, including costs, programmes and quality
- Providing advice to councillors, stakeholders and members of the public
- Liaising with internal teams and external partners to deliver programmes of work
- Supporting the Team Leader and deputising where required
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Membership of relevant professional body
- Experience in highway design and legislation
- Knowledge of highway law and procedures
- Experience with Traffic Regulation Orders
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Competent with Microsoft Office (desirable)
- Experience managing project costs and programmes
- Full UK driving licence
