Job Description

Radius has grown rapidly at a time when tax requirements have become more complex and reporting more onerous (e.g. VIDA, real-time reporting). The group has tax compliance responsibilities for over 80 legal entities across the UK, Europe, Asia and US. We are seeking a Tax Compliance Senior to join our in‑house Tax Compliance team.

The Tax Compliance team is responsible for ensuring the group meets its tax compliance obligations accurately, timely and efficiently across all jurisdictions in which it operates. The team manages the preparation, review and submission of VAT, GST, sales tax, corporate income tax, withholding tax and other tax returns, while maintaining robust controls to ensure compliance with local tax legislation and reporting requirements.

We also work closely with external advisors to manage overseas direct tax compliance, ensuring corporate tax returns and associated filings are prepared and submitted accurately and on time.

We work closely with the business and the Direct and Indirect Tax Advisory teams to ensure the correct tax treatment of transactions, support tax authority enquiries and audits, identify and mitigate compliance risks, and drive process improvement and automation initiatives. The team plays a key role in safeguarding the Group's tax position by ensuring compliance obligations are met, risks are effectively managed, and opportunities for operational efficiency are identified and realised.

The Tax Compliance Senior will support the Tax Compliance Manager in delivering accurate and timely indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The role focuses on the review and submission of VAT returns, supporting the management of balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring robust compliance processes and controls are maintained. The individual will help ensure the timely settlement of tax liabilities and adherence to all statutory deadlines.

In addition, the role will provide guidance to junior team members, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and act as a key support on VAT-related matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, an analytical mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, prepare, and submit VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local legislation.
  • Review and maintain the indirect tax compliance schedule, ensuring all returns are tracked and submitted in line with statutory deadlines.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to junior team members, including training and knowledge sharing, to enhance technical capability, confidence, and overall contribution to the team.
  • Review indirect tax balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure VAT receivable/payable positions accurately reflect underlying ledger activity.
  • Monitor and oversee payment deadlines, ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of all liabilities.
  • Ensure the maintenance of audit‑ready documentation, with appropriate review of filings, reconciliations, and supporting evidence to meet internal and external audit requirements.
