Job Description
The role of Payroll Team Lead is very important to us. You'll play a key role in leading our global payroll operations across countries including the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, and Italy. This is your chance to deepen your expertise in international payroll legislation while contributing to a fast‑growing, agile organisation.
We would love to welcome you to our Crewe HQ office, working hours Monday‑Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities- Lead payroll operations across all countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support and guide the payroll team with technical and operational expertise.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers with professionalism and clarity.
- Review and validate payroll changes to maintain data integrity.
- Ensure data accuracy and up‑to‑date records.
- Deliver customer‑focused service that reflects our values.
- Champion best practices in payroll administration and drive process improvements.
- Handle escalated queries via email or phone with courtesy and efficiency.
- Maintain compliant employee files aligned with company policies and data protection standards.
- Experience in UK and global payroll operations.
- Payroll qualifications (UK/global) are desirable.
- Multilingual communication skills are a plus.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Approachable and discreet, with a sensitivity to confidentiality.
