Network Engineer
Location: Crewe, fully onsite
Duration: 6 initial months contract
Rate: £480 - £520
Pay: Must be PAYE through umbrella
Cleared: SC cleared (active) and sole UK national (MOD SC cleared preferable)
Role DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity to join our client as a Network Operations Analyst supporting a variety of Private & Public sector clients within our vast portfolio. Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) provides support at all levels for a multitude of technologies across complex landscapes, delivering a stable, secure, efficient and well‑managed infrastructure over its full lifecycle. Your roleAs part of the Network Operations Centre, you will develop both yourself and our collective capabilities performing a mixture of RUN and Project activities with other network analysts. You will be empowered to:
- Troubleshoot and configure enterprise networks
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents
- Implement network changes
- Undertake Project tasks, supporting both internal and external project managers
- Continue to strengthen and bolster your existing capabilities through professional training, certifications and experience
- Proven track record supporting enterprise networks with valid networking technical certifications
- In-depth experience supporting Cisco ACI software‑defined networks (multi‑site & multi‑pod)
- Experience supporting firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA & Any Connect Remote Access)
- Experience supporting enterprise Wi‑Fi technologies including Cisco WLC or similar
- Troubleshooting and fault‑finding routing issues (BGP, OSPF & EIGRP)
- Deep understanding of networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
SC cleared (active) and sole UK national. MOD SC cleared preferable.
