Our client is a leader within the medical devices sector who is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their organisation. Reporting into the General Counsel, in this broad role you will provide comprehensive legal support to ensure continued business growth. The successful candidate will provide pragmatic, high-quality legal support across a wide spectrum of matters relating to the company's services and products.

About

the Role

As Legal Counsel you will be responsible for providing legal support to the business. Key responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including Development Agreements, Manufacturing and Supply Agreement, Joint Venture agreements and other related commercial contracts. You will provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders across the business. In addition to supporting the General Counsel on legal risk management, compliance, governance and process improvement.

Who

You Are
  • A legal professional with at least 3 years' experience, preferably gained in a leading international law firm or in-house within the pharmaceuticals, medical devices or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable depth of knowledge in and experience with commercial contracts. Ability to identify the material issues in contracts and advise the business in a risk-based manner.
  • Experience with complex, negotiated agreements, ideally in a regulated, technology, life sciences or manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential).
  • Commercial, pragmatic and solutions‑focused, with the ability to balance legal risk against business priorities.
  • Strong organisational and management skills with a proven ability to manage both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive "get things done" attitude.
