Hours:

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (37 hours per week) - flexibility required to work shifts
Pay Rate:
£16.57 per hour PAYE / £21.44 per hour Umbrella (Training rate - approx. first 6 weeks)
£18.82 per hour PAYE / £24.40 per hour Umbrella (Post training)

We are recruiting over Mechanical Fitters for long-term contracts at the Crewe depot.

This is a genuine opportunity to move into the Rail industry - full training will be provided.

You do not need rail experience. You do not need formal qualifications.

If you have at least 18 months' hands-on mechanical experience using tools in a practical environment, we can train you.

The role involves the mechanical overhaul of rail bogies, including:

Bogie overhaul, damage repair and engineering

Wheelset overhaul and repair

Gearbox and component repairs

Wheel exchanges

Overhaul of sub-assemblies

Heavy mechanical fitting to safety-critical standards

Backgrounds considered include:
Automotive, Plant, HGV, Garage mechanics, Marine, Military, Aviation, Assembly, General Engineering or any practical mechanical environment.
