This lovely client in Crewe is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly team at an exciting time in the practice's development. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who wants to build on their existing experience, broaden their clinical skills and play an important role in the continued growth of the practice.

The practice is keen to welcome a well-rounded vet who values high standards of patient care and enjoys working collaboratively. Clinical development is actively encouraged, with a supportive environment that allows colleagues to share knowledge, discuss cases and make the most of opportunities to expand their skills.

A key advantage of joining this team is access to visiting specialists, including an orthopaedic surgeon and an ultrasonographer, providing valuable opportunities to develop knowledge and confidence in more advanced clinical work. The team also benefits from close collaboration with its sister practice in, offering access to a wealth of experience across surgery and internal medicine. Both practices hold monthly clinical governance meetings together, bringing all seven vets together to discuss cases, exchange ideas and share best practice.

The role offers a varied caseload, combining consultations, routine surgery, dentistry and the investigation and ongoing management of cases. The successful candidate will take an active role in delivering excellent patient care, building strong relationships with clients and supporting colleagues in developing their own clinical skills.

Applicants should be RCVS-registered and have at least 18 months of UK veterinary experience. The ideal candidate will be a confident all-rounder with good communication skills, a team-focused approach and a commitment to considering all appropriate treatment options to provide the best possible care for pets in the local community.

Full-time hours are preferred, although part-time and more flexible arrangements will be considered for the right person. The rota includes one Saturday morning in three, from 9am to 2pm.

  • In return, they offer a salary of up to £70,000, depending on experience, alongside a generous CPD allowance and support for further qualifications and certificates.
  • Additional benefits include a company pension contribution and paid professional memberships.

For a vet seeking a supportive team, a varied caseload and the opportunity to contribute to an ambitious practice's future, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in their career.
