We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Compliance QA to join our Quality Assurance team in Crewe.
This role plays an important part in ensuring that all procedures relating to product quality, food safety and legality are consistently followed across the site. You will support the wider QA team with auditing, validations, traceability, investigations, document control and day-to-day quality activities.

About the RoleThis is a great opportunity for someone with food manufacturing quality experience who wants to develop further within Quality Assurance and Compliance. You will work closely with colleagues across production, technical and management teams and gain valuable experience across a broad range of food safety and quality activities.
- Conducting process and CCP audits across the site.
- Supporting the QA team with glass and plastic, GMP, hygiene and fabrication audits in line with agreed schedules.
- Taking part in annual metal detector validations and routine verification activities.
- Supporting CCP validations across both sites.
- Completing weekly site equipment calibrations.
- Completing and recording allergen verification and validation activities alongside the wider site team.
- Supporting export and customer traceability exercises.
- Completing monthly and ad hoc traceability exercises.
- Leading complaint investigations, root cause analysis and non-conformance investigations.
- Completing daily filing and auditing of factory and QA paperwork.
- Carrying out daily GMP walks with site Shift Managers and Supervisors.
- Developing sufficient knowledge to provide QA support across both sites.
- Supporting the QA team with holiday and absence cover when required.
- Assisting with customer visits and audits, including presenting traceability information, QA paperwork and supporting documentation.
- Maintaining relevant QA and factory documentation, including controlled document checks and regular recorded paperwork audits.
- Escalating quality, safety or compliance concerns promptly when they cannot be resolved within the department.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong auditing skills.
- Good time-management and organisational abilities.
- The confidence to work independently and use their own initiative.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
- A practical, inquisitive and problem-solving approach.
- The ability to communicate confidently with colleagues and management at all levels.

Ideally, you will have:
- Around 1 year of experience working as a QC or in a similar Quality role.
- At least 1 year of experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or an equivalent qualification.
