Job Description & How to Apply Below
The role would suit an established Quality Manager, QHSE Manager, QEHS Manager or Quality & Compliance Manager from a manufacturing, engineering or similarly regulated environment who enjoys combining hands-on problem solving with systems and strategic improvement.
The Role Own, maintain and continually improve the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Integrated Management System. Lead and develop the Quality function and support the wider business in building a strong quality culture. Manage NCRs, root-cause investigations and corrective actions, ensuring improvements are effectively implemented and sustained. Respond to customer quality issues and enquiries, including technical reports and corrective-action documentation.
Lead internal auditing, quality training and the adoption of best-practice quality-control methods. Support future readiness for IATF 16949 and AS9100 certification. Lead EHS policies, procedures, monitoring and compliance, including near-miss reporting, corrective actions and waste management. Monitor and report Quality, EHS and ESG KPIs to senior management. Identify and deliver manufacturing continuous-improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Use SPC and production data to improve process capability and manufacturing performance.
Support ESG objectives, reporting requirements and sustainable and ethical business practices. Support the wider business with relevant regulatory and legal compliance, including machinery safety and PUWER requirements. About You At least five years' experience in a quality-focused role within manufacturing, engineering or a similarly regulated environment. Strong experience maintaining and improving ISO-based management systems. Good knowledge of quality tools, root-cause analysis, corrective action, auditing, SPC and continuous improvement.
Previous leadership or people-management experience, with the ability to coach and influence colleagues across different departments. Strong customer-facing communication and report-writing skills. A practical, organised approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities and improvement projects. Good data-analysis and IT skills, including confident use of Excel. Desirable experience: A scientific or engineering degree, NEBOSH Certificate, ISO Lead Auditor qualification, Six Sigma Green Belt, Minitab experience or experience of ERP/business-systems projects.
Knowledge of IATF 16949 and/or AS9100 would also be beneficial but is not essential. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a broad Quality and EHS function within a growing manufacturing organisation. You'll have the opportunity to influence how the business operates, develop its management systems and people, improve manufacturing processes and help prepare the organisation for increasingly demanding customer and sector requirements.
If you're an experienced Quality or QHSE professional looking for a role with genuine scope to influence and improve a manufacturing business, we'd be keen to hear from you.
