Location: Crewe & Stoke On Trent
Hours: 48-60 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Night shifts, 18:00–06:00
Salary: From £13.05 per hour
About the Role
Alpha Omega Securities Ltd are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team in Crewe and Stoke On Trent.
Working as part of the site security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the night. You will carry out regular patrols, monitor access to the site, record vehicle movements and respond appropriately to any incidents or concerns.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards of security, professionalism and site presentation at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular internal and external security patrols of the site.
- Monitor and control access to the premises.
- Log vehicles entering and leaving the site accurately.
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
- Identify and report any security incidents, hazards or unusual activity.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and escalate matters where required.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all relevant entries in the Officer Report Book.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within the welfare cabin and ensure the area remains clean, tidy and presentable.
- Follow all site procedures, company policies and client instructions.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, visitors, contractors and other site personnel.
- Report any maintenance, safety or security concerns to the appropriate person.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required in support of the site security operation.
- A valid SIA Licence
. - A valid First Aid Certificate
. - Previous security experience is desirable.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to remain calm and use sound judgement when dealing with incidents.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and ability to complete accurate records.
