Position: Personal Advisor (Temporary)
We are working with one of our public clients in the Cheshire East area to appoint a experienced Personal Advisor, to join there Leaving Care Team.

In this role, you will act as a corporate parent by providing practical support, advice, and guidance to care leavers as they transition into independent living. You will support young people to build confidence, develop life skills, and access the services they need to achieve positive outcomes in adulthood.

This is a targeted, outcome-focused role supporting young people who are legally defined as care leavers and entitled to leaving care services.

Key Responsibilities:

Build strong, supportive relationships with young people leaving care, ensuring their needs and views are central to all planning

Support the development and review of Pathway Plans to promote independent living skills
Coordinate access to relevant services including housing, education, employment, and wellbeing support
Work collaboratively with partner agencies while maintaining accurate and up-to-date case record
Provide flexible, responsive support including during crisis situations, ensuring safeguarding and advocacy at all times

Key Requirements:

Experience working with young people, particularly care leavers or those with complex needs

Understanding of the challenges faced when transitioning to independent living

Ability to build positive, professional relationships using a person-centred approach

Strong organisational skills with experience of multi-agency working and accurate record keeping
Flexible approach to supporting changing needs and crisis situations, with knowledge of safeguarding practices

Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £15-£20
Working pattern - 37 hours per week, onsite.
