National Project Facilitator

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within workforce development in the HR department. The position is for 2.0 FTE (37 hours) per week over a flexible work pattern with some evening and weekend requirements. We have two positions available.

You will be passionate about working with young people who have experienced care and be committed to supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.

In this role, you will provide both individual and group-based support to young people referred to the House Project, ensuring they have maximum ownership of their journey and are supported to achieve independence.

• Provide individual and group support to young people referred to the House Project to promote independence.
• Facilitate group sessions, support meetings, and contribute to planning processes.
• Work closely with partner agencies including housing, social care, health and education to ensure joined‑up support.
• Work in a relational, trauma‑informed way, building positive relationships and enabling young people to participate actively in decision‑making.
• Work 37 hours per week with a flexible pattern that may include evenings and weekends.

• Experience working with young people who have experienced trauma, adversity or challenging circumstances.
• Strong understanding of the challenges facing care leavers and how to support them.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships and engage young people in meaningful participation.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to assess and respond appropriately to risk.
• Understanding of trauma‑informed approaches and child development (or willingness to develop this knowledge).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and partner agencies.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to travel across the borough.
