We’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of our data platforms and play a key role in shaping how data drives decisions across our global organisation.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you’ll design, build, and optimise scalable data solutions while mentoring a growing team and influencing our wider data strategy.

At Radius, data is central to everything we do - and you’ll be right at the heart of it.

About the role

You’ll help oversee the design and delivery of modern, scalable data platforms, working at the centre of our Group Data Services & Reporting (DS&R) function – the hub that powers data across all eight business divisions.

This role blends deep technical expertise with leadership, giving you the opportunity to influence everything from architecture to team growth and data strategy.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing and delivering complex data pipelines and data models at scale
  • Mentoring and managing junior engineers, supporting their growth and performance
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to turn business needs into impactful data solutions
  • Driving development of our data platform, including AI/ML‑ready architecture
  • Establishing best practices across data governance, quality, and security
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Data Engineer in complex environments
  • Deep understanding of ETL/ELT, data architecture, and data quality frameworks
  • A mentor who enjoys helping others grow
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to shape solutions from ambiguity
  • Curiosity and a passion for turning data into meaningful business value
Advantageous
  • Experience working with AWS Redshift, dbt and Databricks
  • Experience with AI, M/L tooling and data preparation as well as data orchestration and cataloguing
What you can expect from us

You’ll be contributing to data initiatives that support our entire global business.
