HGV Class 1 Driver – Crewe People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Crewe . We are also welcoming applications from experienced drivers living in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas who can travel to Crewe for work. Please note:

The actual working location is Crewe, and candidates must be able to travel to the Crewe depot for their allocated shifts. This position would suit applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Trunking Driver. Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Day shift start times between 7:00am and 4:00pm
• Night shift start times between 10:00pm and 4:00am
• Flexible start times, with fixed starts accommodated where possible within the advertised windows
• Overtime opportunities available on a sixth shift Rates of Pay • £19.06 per hour – Days • £20.06 per hour – Nights
• Overtime paid at 1.5x on the sixth shift

• Completing depot-to-depot trunking deliveries with occasional store deliveries across the North West
• Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category CE (Class
1) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsement codes
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Good understanding of UK road traffic legislation
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to reliably travel to the Crewe depot Training Provided
• Driver assessment required prior to starting
• One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
