Job Overview

About The Role

Our Night Shift Team Leaders play a vital part in the operation and the customer journey by rolling up our sleeves to get things done. You will report directly to Shift Supervisors, Site Managers and the Operational Management Team. Team Leaders will manage the warehouse team including Warehouse Operatives, Scanners, FLT/Bulk Drivers and VNA Drivers, and work closely with Logistic Coordinators, the Training Support team and on‑site trainers.

Team Leaders ensure that day‑to‑day warehouse operations run effectively, achieve objectives and KPIs set by the business, and maintain full compliance.

  • Salary: £32,420.57 per annum
  • Hours:

    40.25 per week
  • Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotational shift pattern
  • Start/Finish time: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am

AO Plc, Unit 5, Crewe Commercial Park, Jack Mills Way, Shavington, Crewe, CW2 5UZ

What You Can Expect To Be Doing
  • Track your team’s performance and identify upskilling opportunities
  • Be responsible for the site’s cleanliness and maintenance
  • Plan the shift, monitor workloads and ensure all tasks are completed
  • Support HR functions such as disciplinary meetings in a fair and consistent way
  • Complete handovers to the day team
  • Provide administrative support when needed
  • Investigate and rectify discrepancies
  • Ensure all products are handled correctly and in line with manual‑handling guidelines
  • Monitor the quality of work and manage operative performance
  • Allocate and supervise daily tasks and brief the team
A Few Things About You
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics and systems
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams while managing fluctuating workloads
  • Confident decision‑making skills with a fair and consistent approach
  • Proficiency in PC use, including WMS and Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting KPIs such as damage and non‑picks
